The former head of a municipal enterprise on Sakhalin was found guilty of embezzlement of funds paid by residents of Okha district for public utilities. This was reported in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office on February 13.
It is specified that the woman colluded with the chief accountant of the institution, being its head, and in the period from 2012 to 2021 embezzled money paid by residents for housing and communal services by entering inaccurate information and amounts into documents.
"Okha city court passed a guilty verdict against the former head of the municipal enterprise, who was found guilty of committing a crime under part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement of entrusted property on a particularly large scale, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, using their official position")", - stated in the material of the press service.
The total damage amounted to 94.3 million rubles. During the court hearing, the defendant completely denied her guilt. The final decision of the court appointed the woman four years of imprisonment with serving in a colony of general regime. The court ordered the accountant, who forged the papers, to reimburse the enterprise for the entire stolen amount.
On February 10, the press service of the Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation reported that in Kaliningrad region a case was opened against the heads of firms that spent 300 million rubles intended for the construction of facilities of the Ministry of Defense.
