Avalanche danger was predicted in one of the districts of Magadan region

In Omsukchan municipal district of Magadan region avalanche danger is predicted. This was reported on February 13 in the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"From 10:00 (local time, 02:00 Moscow time. - Ed.) February 14 to 10:00 (local time, 02:00. - Ed.) February 15 in the Omsukchan municipal district avalanche danger is predicted," - stated in the message of the press service in Telegram-channel.

In order not to get into a dangerous situation, people should refrain from traveling by car to areas where snow may fall, the department warned. In addition, those who planned to engage in winter sports should not go out on the tracks, which were not prepared in advance. The press service added that tourists should plan walking routes in advance, taking into account the areas where avalanches are possible.

On February 4, it was reported that in the Sakhalin region introduced a high alert mode due to snowfall with strong winds. In addition, avalanche danger was declared in the mountains.
