Finland reported the deployment of NATO forward-deployed troops to Lapland

Forward Land Forces (FLF, Forward Land Forces) will be deployed in Lapland. This was announced by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen on February 13.
"FLF troops will be stationed in Rovaniemi and Sodankylä (North of Finland, Lapland)," the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper quoted him as saying.
Häkkänen added that he informed NATO allies about the decision after he made an administrative decision on the matter last week.
The day before, Polish National Defense Minister Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a news conference in Brussels that NATO countries would create a mission in which alliance warships would patrol the Baltic Sea. On January 7, Finnish broadcaster Yle reported that NATO was going to send a fleet to the Baltic Sea to protect important underwater installations. According to him, it will consist of about 10 ships, and the operation itself will last until April.
