A magnitude 5.8 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Alaska


Seismologists have recorded an earthquake off the coast of Alaska, the magnitude was 5.8. This was reported on February 14 by the U.S. Geological Survey(USGS).
Epicenter of the seismic event was located 154 km south-west of the town of Akhiok on the island of Kadyak. The source lay at a depth of about 9.1 km. There was no information about possible casualties and damage. The threat of a tsunami was also not reported.
In Morocco on February 11, registered an earthquake in the province of Ouazzan (Tangier-Tetouan-El Hoceima region) with a magnitude of 5.2. It was specified that the origin was located at a depth of 20 km, and the epicenter was located in the commune Brichka. There was no damage as a result of the event.
