Trump has declared the US intention to become India's main supplier of oil and gas


U.S. leader Donald Trump on February 13 said during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House that the U.S. intends to reclaim the top position as India's top supplier of oil and gas.
"The Prime Minister and I also reached an important agreement on energy that will return the United States to its position as India's leading supplier of oil and gas," the US President said.
He added that during the conversation, he agreed with the Indian Prime Minister that the nations would engage in joint mining and processing of critical minerals.
In addition, the American leader added that the United States would impose the same duties on Indian goods as New Delhi applies on American goods.
In addition, Trump said that India would introduce reforms to its current laws to open its domestic market to American advanced nuclear technology. During the meeting, Modi also invited Trump to visit India.
