Talnakh Concentrator ships conducted a submarine search exercise in the Java Sea


A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (PF) consisting of corvettes "Rezky" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" in support of the medium sea tanker (MST) "Pechenga" in the Java Sea has conducted an exercise to search for submarines of the conditional enemy with the use of deck helicopters Ka-27M. This was reported by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 14.
As part of the planned fulfillment of assigned tasks in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), the crews of the corvette-based helicopters carried out reconnaissance flights at sea, as well as used equipment to search for underwater targets. At the same time, the crews of the ships conducted joint maneuvering with the practice of tactical methods of searching for submarines, conditionally using anti-submarine weapons against simulated underwater targets.
In addition, the air defense systems of the ships conducted an exercise on repulsion of air attack means, using a simulator of targets of the information system of the ship's armament.
According to the agency, the fulfillment of tasks in the Asia-Pacific region by the detachment of the Pacific Fleet ships is carried out within the framework of the approved plan of the long-range campaign. It is reported that the squadron of ships will take part in international exercises as part of the upcoming events.
On February 3, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported that the detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet consisting of corvettes "Rezky" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" in support of the medium sea tanker "Pechenga" went on a long-distance cruise to perform the tasks in the Asia-Pacific region. Thus, the crews practiced emergency preparation of the ships for combat and campaign.
