In the State Duma proposed to introduce new cash payments for a long marriage


A new bill will be put forward for consideration by the lower house of parliament, which will offer monetary incentives to couples married for more than 30 years. This was announced on February 14 by the State Duma deputy from LDPR Yaroslav Nilov.
"Today we submit to the Duma a bill proposing to approve payments to the official anniversaries of weddings," - stated in the message of the Deputy in Telegram-channel.
The document, which was presented by Nilov, states that spouses who have officially lived together for 30 years, a one-time payment of 30 thousand rubles should be allocated to the anniversary. Every subsequent 10 years together, couples will be paid more by Br10 thousand. He added that the payments are subject to indexation once a year, its amount should be established by the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to the deputy, such awards should exist to support the creation of strong families with children. He noted that long-term family unions should be encouraged at the state level.
"The adoption of the bill will have a positive impact on strengthening the institution of marriage and preserving traditional family values in our country," reads the submitted document.
The authors of the document specified that such payments already exist in 19 subjects of the Russian Federation and are provided to couples who have lived together for more than 50 years.
February 12, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Paternity, Maternity and Childhood Nina Ostanina supported the idea to extend paid maternity leave to three years. According to her, this topic is raised in connection with the state's interest in increasing the birth rate. Ostanina noted that this issue cannot be solved only through one-time payments.
