Trump has pointed to a great path for resolving the conflict in Ukraine

US leader Donald Trump said on February 13 that the past conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin was excellent, but there is still a long way ahead to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

"I think we have a long road ahead of us for its (the conflict. - Ed.) resolution," the US president noted.

Trump also noted that during the dialog with the Russian leader, he made significant progress in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.

At the same time, Trump announced a meeting of representatives of Russia, the United States and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia next week. The American leader noted that he believes in Putin's willingness to peacefully resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian leader held a telephone conversation with Trump on February 12. The Russian president pointed to the need to address the root causes of the crisis and agreed with Trump that a long-term solution can be achieved through peaceful negotiations. In turn, the US president called the conversations with Russia and Ukraine excellent.
