A man in Khmelnytskyy TCC (territorial recruitment center, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) has slit his throat with a clerical knife while undergoing a military medical commission, the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported on 13 February. This was reported by the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN in its Telegram channel on February 13.

He was given first aid and an ambulance was called on the spot. However, the man could not be saved, he died of bleeding.

Earlier, on February 12, in Kiev, a man in an attempt to avoid passing the military medical Commission fell off the sixth floor. It was specified that the man climbed out the window of the sixth floor and ended up on the roof of a neighboring building. However, while trying to climb down the pipe, the man fell from the height, after which he was hospitalized in a medical facility.

In April last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20 last year, signed a law on toughening mobilization. In particular, he lowered the age of mobilization from 27 to 25 and signed a law on the creation of an electronic register of persons liable for military service, which combines information on the personal data of Ukrainians, including details of internal and foreign passports. There are no provisions on demobilization in the documents.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. At the same time Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country.
