In the Mediterranean Sea near Port Said in Egypt, the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman collided with the merchant ship Besiktas-M. This was reported on February 13 by the press service of the US Naval Forces (Navy) in Europe and Africa.

"The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) collided with the merchant vessel Besiktas-M at approximately 23:46 local time (22:46 Moscow time) on February 12 during operations near Egypt's Port Said in the Mediterranean Sea," the Navy said in a statement.

It is noted that there was no threat to the aircraft carrier due to the collision, as there was no information about damage and casualties. The engines were not damaged, they are in stable condition. The incident is under investigation.
