After a comprehensive modernization at the Leningradsky railway station will appear comfortable waiting areas - the area of spaces for passengers will increase more than three times, and the number of seats - from 700 to 1.5 thousand. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about it in his Telegram.

"On the first floor we will organize a quick passage to the trains, there will be a children's play area, a mother and child room, a medical station, as well as an information desk. On the second and third - comfortable recreation areas, cafes, library and co-working," wrote Sobyanin, who checked the progress of work together with the general director of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov.

According to the mayor, the historical appearance of the station will be preserved. "We will restore the building of 1849 year of construction, remove unnecessary retail outlets to free up space," - said Sobyanin.

The mayor added that it is planned to unite the metro, Leningradsky, Kazansky and Yaroslavsky stations into a single circuit - the transfer will become more convenient.

The main works are planned to be completed by the end of this year.
