Fitzo urged EU to sober up from war madness after Putin and Trump talk

The European Union (EU) needs to sober up from the war frenzy after the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said on February 13.
"The EU needs to sober up quickly from the war madness and already realize that it is necessary to be independent in views and positions in order to survive. Otherwise, the community will move towards a deep crisis," he wrote on Facebook (part of Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia).
According to Fitzo, no one informed the presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament about the content of the conversation between the leaders.
On February 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the two leaders discussed many topics, including the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. Trump, in turn, shared that he is united with Putin in the opinion that Washington and Moscow will be able to gain more benefit from working together.
