Moldavia urged to reconsider the decision to close the Russian cultural center

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry should reconsider the decision to close the Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC). This was reported on February 13 by MP, member of the opposition bloc "Victory" Vasili Bolia in his Telegram-channel.
"The closure of the RCSC is another stage of toughening anti-Russian rhetoric of the PAS (Action and Solidarity party. - Ed.) <...> We need to look for diplomatic solutions and strengthen bridges, not destroy them. The Foreign Ministry's decision should be reconsidered," the statement said.
According to him, such a decision of the ministry is absurd and short-sighted. The center is an important platform for dialogue and preservation of common cultural heritage, Bolya added.
On the same day it became known that the Moldovan Foreign Ministry unilaterally terminated the intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on the creation and functioning of cultural centers. It was specified that this measure is allegedly connected with the violation of national sovereignty of Moldova by the Russian Federation. The Moldovan Foreign Ministry said in its Telegram channel that Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov had been summoned to the ministry in connection with the alleged downing of two Russian drones on Moldovan territory, which were reported by local police in the same messenger.
