Survey shows how much Russians spend on car consumables


Almost two thirds of Russian car owners spend from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles a year on replacement of consumable spare parts. This was reported to Izvestia on February 14 by Velparts, which shared the results of a survey of Russians.
Immediately 59.4% of respondents answered that they spend 10-20 thousand rubles on consumables. For another 17.4% of survey participants, the cost of spare parts for car maintenance costs 20-30 thousand rubles annually. In turn, 10% of respondents require from Br30 thousand to Br50 thousand for these purposes, while 13% - more than Br50 thousand.
The share of car owners who change consumables on their own or turn to unofficial services was almost the same - 33.3% and 32.6%, respectively. Official dealers are chosen by 20.3% of respondents, while garage masters - 14%.
The main share among the respondents are owners of Japanese brand cars (37%). They are followed by car owners of Russian (26%) and European cars (almost 19%). Almost 11% have Chinese cars, and the smallest number of respondents (7%) - American cars.
On February 12, it was reported that in 2024, used passenger cars in Russia were becoming more expensive than new ones. Thus, the weighted average price of a passenger car with mileage in Russia for the year increased by 13%, while for new cars this indicator increased by only 6%. In the secondary car market, the weighted average price of a car reached 1.18 million rubles.
