The most common cars in the Russian cab industry have been named


Kia brand cars turned out to be the most widespread in Russian taxi fleets, and the Korean brand was ahead of Lada in terms of the number of cars owned by carriers. This data was shared with Izvestia by Irina Zaripova, Chairman of the Public Council for Taxi Development.
Thus, Kia is on the first place by prevalence in the Russian cab with the result of 110.6 thousand cars. With a slight lag behind it is the production of AvtoVAZ - 107.2 thousand cars in taxi fleets. In third place is Hyundai brand - 102.6 thousand units. Volkswagen with 65.2 thousand cars is far behind it. The top five was closed by Skoda (46.1 thousand units).
Next are Renault and Toyota, which are ahead of the most widespread in the cab industry Chinese car brand Chery (25.9 thousand units). The top ten is closed by two more brands from China - Haval (22 thousand units) and Geely (17.3 thousand units). They are followed by Nissan and Chevrolet - the last two brands, whose number of cars in the Russian cab exceeded the mark of 10 thousand units.
As for other Chinese brands, the 16th place in the overall ranking is occupied by Jac, followed by domestic Moskvich, as well as BAIC, Exeed, Omoda and Changan.
On February 13, it was reported that 43.82 million new passenger cars were sold in Russia over the past 30 years. The market leader for three decades with a large gap was the brand Lada. During this period, 14.54 million new cars of this brand were sold in the country.
