Military expert assessed the ability of the AFU to organize a new offensive

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may try to organize another offensive if the mobilization age is lowered in the country. This opinion was expressed by Oleg Glazunov, a military expert, associate professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Social and Psychological Processes at Plekhanov Russian Economic University, on Thursday, February 13.
"The main thing for them is to show the US and the EU that they can fight, defeat Russia. They are ready to do anything - 'to the last Ukrainian' - only if they were supported by the West," Glazunov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.
He noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, understands that the elections, which are sure to be, he will lose, and no one will make peace with him, which means that he will be demanded.
"They can organize another large-scale offensive in case they mobilize 18 to 25 year old youths and train them at least a little, a month," Glazunov concluded.
Earlier in the day, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the AFU attacked the region with more than 50 drones over the day, 360.ru reported. One person was killed, five more were injured, writes RIAMO.
On the night of February 13, air defense means destroyed a total of 83 Ukrainian drones. According to the Defense Ministry, the most UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region.
