A powerful flare has been detected on the Sun

A powerful flare lasting eight minutes was registered on the Sun. This was reported on February 13 on the website of the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FGBU "IPG").

"February 13 at 14:09 Moscow time in the X-ray range in the group of spots 3987 (S06W21) registered flare M1.0", - stated in the publication.

Solar flares depending on the power of X-ray radiation are divided into five classes: A, B, C, M and maximum X.

Earlier, February 5, two flares penultimate class of power recorded on the Sun. The centers of solar activity will remain in the zone of direct influence on the Earth for at least 2-3 more days.
