FSB showed footage of the operation to prevent a terrorist attack at the train station in Pskov

February 13, Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) showed footage of the operation to eliminate extremists, who were planning a terrorist attack at the train station in Pskov.

According to the FSB, the members of the extremist cell intended to blow up the building of the train station. When detained, they offered armed resistance and were neutralized by return fire.

In addition, a criminal case was opened under part 1 of article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime") and paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 205 ("Committing a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy or an organized group").

The planning of the terrorist act became known earlier in the day. The Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB reported that the members of the cell during the preparation of the terrorist act made reconnaissance of the area, purchased the components necessary for the manufacture of an explosive device. The actions of the attackers were coordinated by an emissary of the ITO, who was abroad. After carrying out the attack, they planned to move to a Middle Eastern country.
