The driver who rammed into the crowd in Munich is a 26-year-old citizen of Afghanistan. This was reported by the newspaper Bild on February 13.

"The driver <...> was arrested by the police. The man is a 26-year-old Afghan," - writes the newspaper.

It is specified that the car crashed into a crowd of people, numbering more than 1 thousand people during the action organized by the trade union Verdi. According to the newspaper, the number of injured is at least 20 people, of whom two were very seriously injured.

At the moment, the police are investigating the incident. Prime Minister of Bavaria, the leader of the Christian Social Union Markus Söder in turn did not rule out that the incident with a car hitting a group of demonstrators could be a terrorist attack.
