Kherson court sentences local resident to 10 years in prison for espionage


A Kherson court has sentenced a local resident to 10 years in prison for espionage in favor of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was reported on February 13 by the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
It is specified that the local resident established contact with representatives of the SBU and on the instructions of the curator collected and sent via messenger information about the location of Russian army personnel points on the territory of the Kherson region.
A criminal case was opened against her on the grounds of a crime under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
The court found the defendant guilty and sentenced her to 10 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
February 11, it was reported that the Supreme Court of Russia sentenced a spy of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) from Kinelsky district of Samara region Georgi Kamlash to 13 years in a strict regime colony. The cassation appeal against the verdict under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code "High Treason" was considered at a closed session.
