At least four people have been killed and 26 injured in a suspected gas explosion at a shopping center in Taiwan. This was reported by Reuters on its website on Thursday, February 13.

"The explosion occurred on the 12th floor of a department store building. A food court was located in the area," the report said.

According to local authorities, one of the 26 injured is in hospital in the intensive care unit. It is also reported that two of the dead and five of the injured were tourists from Macau.

Last November, there was an explosion at a Tupras oil refinery in western Turkey. A fire broke out at the facility afterward. The fire was extinguished the same day, and no injuries were reported.
