Roskomnadzor disclosed the number of deleted banned content on the Web in 2024

In 2024, 704.8 thousand Internet pages were removed or blocked at the request of Roskomnadzor. This was reported to Izvestia by the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications on February 13.

Among them were information about gambling (252.6 thousand materials), pro-drug content (111.6 thousand), content of extremist and terrorist nature (42.6 thousand), unreliable socially significant information, including about a special military operation (40.1 thousand), and so on.

"In addition, to promptly limit access to illegal information, interaction with the administrations of Russian social networks ("VKontakte", "Odnoklassniki", "MoiMir", "Answers Mail.ru", Rutube) has been organized," Roskomnadzor added.

Within the framework of such interaction in 2024, about 100 thousand materials were removed or blocked.
