Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate announced an inspection of cab and carsharing drivers

A preventive inspection of drivers of carsharing cars and cabs will take place in Moscow. This was announced by the Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate in its Telegram channel on February 13.

The raid will be held from February 14 to 16. The agency noted that the event is held to improve road safety and prevention of offenses.

Last raid of the State Automobile Inspectorate in Moscow took place from January 24 to 26 and was devoted to the search for drunk drivers. As a result of the event 318 facts of driving by drunk drivers were stopped, among which 73 motorists were in a state of alcohol intoxication.

Another 228 drivers refused to undergo medical examination. In addition, 17 people were detained on the grounds of a crime under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person who has been subjected to administrative punishment or has a criminal record").

February 11, it was reported that at the end of 2024 in Russia slowed down the growth in the number of fines for traffic violations, issued with the help of stationary complexes of photo-video fixation. It amounted to 7.2%. A total of 237 million rulings were issued during the year. In 2019-2023, the dynamics was higher and ranged from 10 to 20%.
