The Russian Prosecutor General's Office recognized the activities of a Portuguese NGO as undesirable

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has declared the activities of the Portuguese non-governmental organization "Association of Free Russians" (Associaҫa͂o de russos livres) undesirable on the territory of the country. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the agency on February 13.

The organization was founded in Lisbon in 2022. It is specified that its members oppose the Special Military Operation (SMO), as well as support the crimes of the Kiev regime, including financially.

The agency specified that one of the partners of the association is the association "Civil Council" (the organization recognized in the Russian Federation as undesirable), which is engaged in recruiting and helping participating in hostilities on the side of Ukraine "Legion "Freedom of Russia" and "Siberian battalion" (recognized in the Russian Federation as terrorist organizations), pointed out "Gazeta.Ru".

Earlier, on January 29, the Russian Prosecutor-General's Office recognized the Register Damage for Ukraine, created under the auspices of the Council of Europe, as undesirable. Before that, on 27 January, the French NGO Independent Institute of Philosophy, established in 2023, was declared undesirable.
