Services named the most popular vacation destinations on May holidays
The most popular destinations for May holidays this year are Turkey, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as well as domestic travel, according to the data of the service "Sletat.ru".
The demand for tours with arrivals during the May holidays this year doubled last year's figures, the service told Izvestia. About half of the applications came from tourists with children.
The most popular vacation destinations abroad during the May holidays were Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Abkhazia, China, Maldives and Thailand. In Russia, tours to the Krasnodar Territory, the Caucasus and the Kaliningrad region are most often chosen.
According to the service, the average check for a trip to Turkey for May holidays increased by 12.6% to Br178 thousand, while the average check in Russia - by 21.8%, it amounted to Br99.2 thousand. At the same time, the average check for Egypt decreased by 9.4% to Br230.1 thousand. Decrease is also recorded for the UAE, the tour to this country costs an average of Br266 thousand.
