Hungary told about the preservation of monuments to Soviet soldiers

In Hungary they take care of the monuments to the Red Army fighters, Svetlana Gokieli, chairwoman of the Russian-Hungarian society of the city of Kaposvar, told Izvestia in an interview.
"Taking care of the graves of Soviet soldiers who died in World War II is the responsibility of the city government-municipality.<...> There are 27 burial sites of Soviet soldiers in the region of Somogy. In recent years, most of them have been restored. In our region there are no burial sites in neglected or abandoned condition. All the monuments are in good condition," said Gokieli.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry's representative office for war memorial work in Hungary, more than 140,000 Russian soldiers are buried in all 19 regions of the country, and the number of burials is approaching a thousand, 829 of which relate to the Great Patriotic War period.
