The Russian Defense Ministry told about the feats of Russian servicemen in the NWO zone

The Russian Defense Ministry on February 13 reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

According to the ministry, Private Alexander Koltsov was tasked with delivering ammunition and food to the defending Russian units, as well as evacuating the wounded from the line of contact. To fulfill the task, he moved to the designated area, managed to secretly drive to the positions and unload the ammunition.

However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched an attack on the positions of the unit Koltsov was in. Then the serviceman took an advantageous firing position on the flank of the advancing enemy armored group and with an accurate shot from a hand grenade launcher damaged the armored personnel carrier, hit the ammunition, thus destroying the enemy combat vehicle. The enemy suffered losses and retreated.

In addition, Koltsov rendered first aid to wounded comrades and, moving to the evacuation point, took the injured soldiers from the line of contact and delivered them to the medical unit.

The Defense Ministry also noted the feat of Guards Private Ilya Knutov. Thus, the assault group, in the composition of which the soldier performed combat tasks, was conducting an attack on the enemy stronghold located in a forest belt. Knutov discovered the advanced positions of Ukrainian militants, after promptly reported the situation to the commander of the assault group, chose a favorable firing line and took a position, destroyed the enemy machine gun crew with a burst, which allowed the assault group to approach the enemy positions without losses.

Hiding behind trees, constantly firing at the enemy position from the flank, Knutov covered the actions of the assault group, which ensured the rapid advance of Russian servicemen deep into the stronghold of Ukrainian militants, the ministry added. The AFU discovered the Russian Armed Forces fighter while changing his firing position and wounded him. Despite being wounded, Knutov promptly gave himself first aid and continued to fight.

Earlier, on February 12, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer crews of the all-military army of the "West" force group destroyed an M777 howitzer, a radar station, armored vehicles and enemy manpower in the special operation zone while carrying out firing tasks.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
