Relations between Russia and the United States are developing in the right direction, contacts are gradually being established. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump held a phone conversation that lasted almost an hour and a half.

"This is good news. It means that Russian-American contacts at the highest and highest level are gradually recovering. And the boycott that the previous [Joe] Biden administration adhered to with regard to Russia is now over," Batiuk said.

According to him, events are "developing in the right direction," and one can expect positive dynamics in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

"The approaches of the current US administration to this conflict are much more realistic and much more in line with objective realities, with what is happening on the battlefield," the political scientist emphasized.

At the same time, Europe, Batiuk continued, has practically lost its independence.

"They will sit at the feet of Trump and wag their tails," - concluded the expert.
