Two more civilians injured in AFU strikes on Belgorod region

Two men have been injured in drone attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on cars in Valuyskiy district and Borisovskiy district of Belgorod Region. This was reported by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on February 12.

"In the village of Kolykhalino in Valuysky District, a man was injured as a result of a drone strike on a truck. The ambulance brigade takes the victim in serious condition to the regional clinical hospital. All necessary assistance is being provided," Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.

In addition, in the village of Berezovka, Borisov district, a drone struck a moving car. The man who was riding in it received a barotrauma and a shrapnel wound to his arm. A hitchhiker brought the victim to the Borisov Central District Hospital (CDH). Later he will be transferred to a medical facility in Belgorod. The vehicle is damaged.

In the town of Graivoron, an FPV drone attacked an apartment building, causing a fire in one of the apartments and damaging the facade and glazing. Self-defense fighters quickly extinguished the fire.

Gladkov added that information about the consequences of the AFU drone strikes is being clarified, and operational services are doing their work on the ground.

Earlier in the day, Gladkov said that in Volokonovsky district of Belgorod region, Ukrainian militants dropped an explosive device from a drone on a car that was traveling along a road. Two people - a married couple - were injured. The victims were taken to a regional hospital and treated. In addition, a number of settlements were attacked by AFU drones at the same time, residential houses were damaged there.

On the same day in the village of Mokraya Orlovka, Belgorod region, a woman died after a drone hit a car. Before that, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the forces of air defense (air defense) over the past night eliminated three unmanned aerial vehicles of the AFU over the Belgorod region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
