A magnitude 3.9 earthquake has struck Kuban


An earthquake with magnitude 3.9 was recorded at a depth of 5 km in the waters of the Black Sea in Tuapse. This was reported on February 12 in the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Krasnodar region.
"At a distance of 13.5 km from the city of Tuapse, in the sea registered seismic event with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, intensity of 3 points," - transmits the text of the message of the department "RIA Novosti".
It is noted that no one was injured as a result of the earthquake.
Earlier, on February 3, it became known that the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred in Kamchatka. It was specified that the epicenter of the seismic event was located 87 km from the village of Ust-Kamchatsk. The source lay at a depth of 62 km.
