Tennis players Andreeva and Schneider reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Doha

Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider reached the quarterfinals of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) doubles tournament. The meeting was held on February 12 in Doha.

In the second round they defeated one of the best pairs in the world - Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand's Erin Routliffe - 6:2, 6:1. In the next match, the athletes will play either Irina Khromacheva and Anna Danilina or Shuko Aoyama and Eri Hozumi of Japan.

Last year at the Olympic Games in Paris, Schneider and Andreeva won silver medals in women's doubles.
