Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev discussed environmental issues of the region with Governor of Samara Region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev during a working meeting. This was reported on February 12 in the press service of the Russian government.
"In the Samara region it is planned to implement seven complex objects with a total investment of about 18 billion rubles," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel of the government.
Patrushev noted that it is important to address issues in the sphere of solid municipal waste (SMW) management on a systemic basis.
In addition, the meeting also discussed issues related to the quality of work of regional operators, provision of territories with containers and sites for them, availability of special equipment. The participation of the public-law company "Russian Ecological Operator" in the process of creating integrated waste treatment facilities was also considered.
On the eve of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said that to change the sanitary rules for the maintenance of container sites for the collection of solid waste, it is necessary to come to an agreed position. According to him, the condition of container sites is a reflection of the work of agencies. At the same time Patrushev pointed out the importance of compliance with the sanitary norms of their maintenance, and understanding that the rules can be adjusted in the course of implementation of the reform of the system of TKO handling.
Earlier, on February 6, Patrushev urged to accelerate the pace of construction of TKO treatment facilities. According to him, in 2024, facilities with a combined capacity of more than 4 million tons were introduced in solid municipal waste management.
