Boxer Petrovsky called Papin "a good fighter with character"

World champion under version IBF International, holder of the championship belt WBA Asia Alexey Papin is a strong fighter with a solid character. This was stated by Russian boxer Mark Petrovsky on February 12.

He recalled Papin's meeting with American mixed style (MMA) fighter Greg Hardy in December 2024. Then the opponent sent the Russian to knockdown, but Papin did not give up.

"Alexey in no way turned on some back gear, did not show that he was bad, hard. He, on the contrary, went forward, started punching," Petrovsky said.

According to him, Papin "got caught up in being dropped," and his opponent clearly did not expect it.

"The knockdown did not stop him in any way, but, on the contrary, only provoked him to action, which gave to finish the fight early," - said the Russian boxer.

Petrovsky wished Papin good luck and health. He suggested that Papin's fight with WBA Africa and WBA Pan Africa champion Ebenezer Tetteh will be interesting and entertaining.
