In the Yaroslavl region, police officers have opened a criminal case against a man who threatened a child in Uglich with a knife. This was reported on February 12 by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the region in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that in September last year, a local resident stopped a bicycle on which a six-year-old boy was traveling. He put a knife to the throat of the child and began to threaten. The man explained his actions by the fact that the children walking near his house allegedly hooliganized.

A criminal case under part 1 of article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Threat of murder or causing serious harm to health") was opened against the suspect.

Earlier, on January 31, the police detained a man who tried to burn the house together with his ex-wife and daughter in Orenburg. A criminal case was opened under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons").
