In Belgorod region, two people were injured in an AFU attack

In Volokonovsky district of Belgorod Region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) dropped an explosive device from a drone on a passenger car, injuring two people. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on February 12.

"In Volokonovsky district on the section of the highway Pogromets - Konovalovo - Davydkin an explosive device was dropped from a drone on a moving passenger car. A married couple was injured," - wrote Gladkov.

It is noted that the victims with shrapnel wounds were taken to the district hospital, where they were given the necessary assistance.

Gladkov said that the village of Tishanka and Oktyabrsky settlement of Volokonovsky district were also shelled, and in the town of Graivoron a drone attacked an apartment building, resulting in damage to the roof, facade and balconies.

At the moment, operational services are working on the ground, information on the consequences is being clarified.

Earlier in the same day in the village of Mokraya Orlovka a woman was killed when an AFU drone hit a car. Before that, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces over the past night eliminated three unmanned aerial vehicles of the AFU over the Belgorod region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
