Britain will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth £150 million, Reuters reported on February 12.

"Britain said on Wednesday it would provide Ukraine with £150 million ($186.6 million) worth of military aid, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs. - Ed.), tanks and air defense systems (air defense systems. - Ed.), as part of a convened meeting of allies in Brussels," the publication reported.

Earlier, on February 9, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the West has only gained from helping Ukraine by destroying the economies of some of the largest European Union (EU) countries and disrupting logistics chains in the world. She urged officials in the West to recognize the damage caused, as the public and the media are increasingly talking about it.

Earlier on December 19, 2024, Britain's Defense Ministry said the United Kingdom, along with other allied countries, had invested more than $1.63 billion (£1.3 billion) in Kiev through the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU), which was established in 2022.

Western countries stepped up sanctions pressure on Russia after the start of a special operation to protect civilians in Donbass, which was announced on February 24, 2022.
