Aurus cars may get domestic tires

Luxury brand Aurus is going to use Russian-made tires on its cars. Gislaved company is developing tires for cars that are operated in the Garage of Special Purpose (GON), reports Quto.ru on February 12.

According to "Avto.ru Magazine", earlier Aurus Senat sedan and Komendant SUV were equipped with 20-inch tires Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 or Pirelli Scorpion Verde.

Kordiant Holding includes five production sites, including the plants of JSC "Kordiant" in Omsk and Yaroslavl and enterprises purchased from foreign owners: the former Continental in Kaluga and Bridgestone in Ulyanovsk (now - plants Gislaved). The total production capacity of the holding company "Kordiant" - up to 15 million tires per year.

November 21 last year it became known that the tire plant Gislaved in Ulyanovsk (former Bridgestone) resumed production, the restart of the site began with the production of a new summer model, which will be produced under the brand Cordiant. In 2025, the range of the plant is planned to expand including models of the premium brand Gislaved.
