Ukraine detains head of SBU anti-terrorist center headquarters

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said on 12 February that the head of its antiterrorist center headquarters had been detained. His name has not been given.

As the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, noted in the footage published by the service in its Telegram channel, the detainee is suspected of treason. It is specified, it was recorded 14 facts of illegal activities of the head of the headquarters.

At the same time, Malyuk said that the detainee headed the anti-terrorist Department of the SBU since 2016.

Earlier, on January 21, the SBU said that four former managers of the Kievtransparkservis utility company of the Kiev state city administration (KSCA) were detained in Ukraine on suspicion of embezzlement of more than $547.2 thousand. It was noted that as a result of fraud, the money that drivers used to pay for parking their cars did not reach the utility company's account.
