Rosstandart tells about the fate of problematic Shacman SX3258 trucks

Owners of Shacman SX3258 trucks, the sale and import of which in Russia were stopped after the recall of the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) for this model, can continue to use these dump trucks. This was reported to Izvestia on February 12 by the press service of Rosstandart in response to an inquiry.

The restriction applies to Shacman SX3258 imported into the territory of the Russian Federation before their release into circulation (without electronic passports), as well as those released into circulation (with passports), but not yet registered with the State Automobile Inspectorate, the federal agency noted.

"Rosstandart's Order No. 265 of February 7, 2025 does not affect the owners of vehicles already in service, but the import and registration of electronic vehicle passports (EVPTS) for imported Shacman trucks of the SX3258 type are suspended, as well as it is impossible to sell and register them," Rosstandart told Izvestia.

The federal agency emphasized that the official representative of the manufacturer of Shacman trucks on the territory of the Russian Federation is developing a recall campaign. After agreement with Rosstandart, Shacman SX3258 dump trucks will be recalled for elimination of constructive violations. All work will be carried out free of charge for car owners.
