The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia (MIEK) will be engaged in the formation of a unified register of creative industries entities. This follows from the government resolution prepared by the Ministry, which was read by Izvestia on February 13.

"The department already has similar experience: specialists keep a single register of social entrepreneurship, as well as socially oriented non-profit organizations. This practice helps to target support measures to certain target groups, including entrepreneurial ones, if necessary," Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Tatyana Ilyushnikova told Izvestia.

It is assumed that the relevant list will be open and will be posted on the official website of the authorized body. The explanatory note to the project specifies that the information included in the unified register will allow to form the widest possible volume of data on the subjects of creative industries in the country.

Earlier, on October 8, 2024, Natalia Kravchenko, chairman of the Public Chamber's commission on education and upbringing, told Izvestia that the creative sector is one of the most rapidly developing and promising. According to her, in a number of countries the contribution of the creative economy to GDP reaches 9%, while in Russia, according to various estimates, it is from 2.5 to 3.5%.

At the same time, the most important condition for the development of the sector is the creation of conditions that will allow creative people to gain knowledge, share experience and create in-demand products, the expert added.
