In February this year, Russia maintained the volume of oil refining, and these figures may grow. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to journalists on February 12 following a meeting of the Federation Council.

This is how he answered the question of whether the situation with drone attacks has affected refining.

"We have a stable situation (with processing. - Ed.) has not decreased. <...> We have no reason for any figures to change. Perhaps, recycling will be even more," he said.

Earlier, on February 3, Novak said after the meeting of the Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) that thesituation in the global oil market is stable. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister shared that the committee retains the decision to start restoring oil production from April 2025, but "will look at the situation".

Before that, on January 31, Iqbal Guliyev, deputy director of the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy of MGIMO, told Izvestia that in 2025 Russia will continue to export its oil to foreign countries that are interested in it. He specified that at the same time it is unlikely to expect an increase in sales volumes.
