The head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen has turned Europe into "hell, where it is nightmarish to invest". Such a statement was made on February 12 by the leader of the French party "National Union" Jordaan Bardella.

"Despite our warnings, you have turned Europe into a bureaucratic hell where it is now nightmarish to invest. Suspending the Green Deal is a prerequisite for lifting restrictions on economic growth in the automotive, agricultural, aviation, construction, digital and energy sectors - because no sector has been bypassed by your negative growth project," he said, addressing the EC chief.

The politician noted that the last five years von der Leyen worked with the French Parliament's Committee on European Affairs, which was "a living hell for business." Now the EC chief believes that after decades of "commercial naivety" it is time to strangle leading businesses and farmers with bureaucratic ladders, he added.

Bardella added that it is important to rediscover free enterprise and economic patriotism, which is the ambition of his faction.

Earlier, on February 7, it was reported that farmers in Poland booed von der Leyen during a protest against. It was specified that when cars with the EC delegation were entering the European Solidarity Center, the farmers started whistling and shouting "Away, Ursula!".

Prior to that, on February 5, Politico newspaper quoted sources as saying that the EU countries were "fed up" with the attempts of the EC head to direct the foreign policy of the association. At the same time, French politician Florian Philippot said that the head of the EC and the entire EU should be sent to a special tribunal.
