Russian Armed Forces hit AFU personnel with FPV drones on fiber optics

Soldiers of the separate reconnaissance battalion of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Guards All-Russian Army of the "West" group of forces eliminated the living force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of the special operation to protect Donbass with the help of FPV drones on optical fiber. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 12.
The Russian military detected groups of enemy infantry with the help of reconnaissance drones. After the exact location of the AFU militants was confirmed, the Russian fighters decided to strike them.
"The detected targets were promptly destroyed by calculations of fiber-optic FPV drones of the reconnaissance battalion. Means of objective control in real time recorded direct hits on the AFU fighters", - stated in the message of the Ministry.
It is specified that some enemy military tried to hide in camouflaged shelters or shoot back from Russian attack drones, but it did not help them. The agency recalled that electronic warfare (REB) means are not able to affect drones that use fiber-optic communication.
At the same time, this method of data transmission improves the quality of the image received from the camera, and this helps to find enemy fighters where they feel completely safe.
Earlier in the day, the Rosgvardiya reported that its special operations troops destroyed a warehouse with shells, personnel and weapons of the AFU in Kharkiv region with the help of drones. The enemy's REB tried to jam the signal of the Rosgvardia drones, but it did not work.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
