Sand glassware production plant to be built in Crimea

A plant for the production of glassware will be built in Crimea. Enriched sand mined on the peninsula will be used for this purpose. The plans were announced by the republic's Industry and Trade Minister Anushavan Aghajanyan.
According to the Minister, cited by RIA Novosti Crimea, the region uses 130 million bottles a year. They are imported from the mainland. However, local sand that has been processed could be used to produce bottles.
Aghajanyan noted that several investors are already interested in such a project. Specialists from the Crimean Federal University were attracted for scientific substantiation of investments. They believe that such an initiative has great prospects in the republic.
The next step is to recycle already used bottles to ensure the production of closed-cycle containers. This will become another investment area in Crimea, writes SevastopolMedia IA.
In mid-January it was reported that the laying of new railroad lines and repair of old ones between Crimea and central Russia through the new regions may require from 90 billion to 160 billion rubles. This amount was voiced by the head of the Russian Center for Transport Pavel Ivankin. The exit from the peninsula will be carried out through Dzhankoy and Novoalekseevskaya to Zaporozhye region, and further through the railroads of Novorossiya. This will require rehabilitation of some sections of the railroad bed and construction of a number of connecting branches.
