Dangerous flowers from China detained in Primorsky Krai

A shipment of flowers from China with a quarantine pest was prevented in Primorye. The plants were found to have zaprad flower thrips.

According to PrimaMedia IA with reference to the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor, inspectors of the agency at the phytosanitary control post "Pogranichny" on February 8 inspected a batch of flowers in the amount of about 110 thousand pieces. In 650 pieces of oxypetalum they found a pest, which is included in the list of quarantine objects of the EAEU.

According to the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor department, the release of the products is prohibited. The owner decided to destroy the batch of flowers.

The Agency specifies that earlier the regional Rosselkhoznadzor banned the passage of a batch of mandarins from Pakistan weighing almost 27 tons. In citrus fruits found larvae of the Mediterranean fruit fly. This is a quarantine pest for member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
