The perpetrator of a traffic accident with children in Khabarovsk Krai was sentenced

The Sovetsko-Gavansk City Court passed a sentence on a 72-year-old resident of the Zavety Ilyicha settlement who was found guilty of a traffic accident with two injured children. He was found guilty under the article "Violation of traffic rules, which resulted in negligent infliction of serious harm to human health".

IA AmurMedia specifies that in June 2024, the driver of a foreign car Nissan Tirano at the exit to the main road did not yield to a moped, on which 12-year-old boys were moving. As a result, the children were seriously injured.

The driver pleaded guilty. The court, taking into account mitigating circumstances, sentenced him to 1 year of restriction of freedom with deprivation of rights for two years. In addition, the man must pay about 1.3 million rubles to the victims as compensation for moral and material damage.

Earlier, on January 29, it was reported that three children were injured in an accident involving a bus in Omsk. A 33-year-old woman driving a Toyota passenger car failed to cope with the control and drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where she collided with a PAZ bus.
