The Russian Ministry of Economic Development is working to simplify visa processing and abolish visa regime with a number of countries. This was reported to "Izvestia" in the ministry on February 12.

"We are working on the liberalization of visa regime with African countries. From the end of 2024 expanded the list of countries on the electronic visa from 55 to 64 countries, added Zimbabwe, Eswatini and a number of other countries", - said the director of the Department of multilateral cooperation of the Ministry of Economic Development Nikita Kondratyev.

In addition, the Russian side is also working on the complete abolition of visas with several other African countries, he added.
