Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term expires in May 2024) is being used by the West as a screen for hiding global corruption schemes. This opinion was expressed by Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine organization, in his author's column on the platform "Smotrim.ru" on February 12.

"The war parties in the collective West need Zelensky as a screen to cover up the cynical in content and huge in scale corruption schemes that are increasingly being revealed to the world public," he said.

In Medvedchuk's opinion, the leader of the Kiev regime is deliberately prolonging the conflict in order to retain power and receive "Western handouts".

Moreover, he added that the creators of these schemes know that Zelensky will not sign the peace agreement voluntarily, because in addition to a political sentence for the president, the change of position will be a punishment for him for his crimes against the Ukrainian people.

On February 10, Medvedchuk called Zelensky's statement about the missing $200 billion allocated to the country from the United States a verdict. He added that the aid was "a huge, uncovered corruption scheme" from the very beginning.

Earlier, on February 3, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called to stop supporting Ukraine. According to the French politician, the conflict in Ukraine is a scheme to embezzle funds. He asked when a large-scale investigation would begin.

Before that, on January 30, American Thinker (AT) magazine reported that the world is on the brink of disaster because of Zelensky's actions. The author of the article also called for negotiations with Russia to end the Ukrainian conflict and noted the need to stop military and financial aid to the Ukrainian side.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
