An orchestra leader died during a concert in North Ossetia

Head of the orchestra of the state ensemble "Alan", Honored Artist of North Ossetia Elza Datieva died during a performance on February 11. This was reported by a source of "Izvestiya" on February 12.

The incident occurred during a joint concert of "Alan" and the song and dance ensemble of the Chechen Republic "Nochkho" in Vladikavkaz.

"After the second number it became bad Datieva, backstage closed, called an ambulance, but did not have time. She died," said the source.

The woman was 63 years old.

Information about the death of the honored artist was confirmed by the Minister of Culture of North Ossetia Soslan Fidarov, who was present at the concert, in his comments to RIA Novosti. According to him, it was decided to stop the event.

Harmonist Elza Datieva is the People's Artist of North Ossetia, she devoted more than 45 years to the Alan ensemble. In recent years, she has been the head of the ensemble's orchestra.
