Rescuers evacuated all fishermen from the ice floe in the Sea of Okhotsk

Rescuers have evacuated all fishermen drifting on an ice floe in the Sea of Okhotsk. This was reported by the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Telegram-channel on February 12.
"A total of 139 people. 31 specialists and 17 units of equipment worked on the site," the agency said in a statement.
About fishermen drifting on a broken-off ice floe on the Sea of Okhotsk in the Sakhalin region, became known earlier in the day. It was specified that the ice floe broke off because of a 10-meter crack formed from the village of Malki to the mouth of the Dolinka River. Rescuers with equipment went to the site. An Mi-8 helicopter was involved.
Before that, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that some fishermen did not want to leave the ice floe in order not to lose their catch.
